Since the local Affiliate was founded in 1991, the Race for the Cure has raised tens of millions of dollars in the fight against breast cancer. It is one of the largest Komen events on the west coast drawing thousands of participants annually and last year raised more that $2.9 million dollars combined from both Portland and Eugene.
