Mattress World Northwest Partners with Serta/Simmons Bedding Group to Donate 25 Mattresses to “Every Child” Non-Profit Organization

Portland, Oregon – April 2024 – Mattress World Northwest, in collaboration with Serta/Simmons Bedding Group, is pleased to announce its recent donation of 25 mattresses to the non-profit organization “Every Child.” This partnership reflects Mattress World Northwest’s commitment to supporting local communities and improving the lives of foster children and families in need.

“Every Child” is a dedicated organization that provides vital support to new foster parents and foster children by assisting in the establishment of a nurturing home environment complete with bedding, furniture, clothing, and food. Many foster parents face the challenge of limited time to prepare for the arrival of children, as they often do not know the exact date or the number of children they will be welcoming into their homes.

Kimberly Montgomery, Director of Development at “Every Child,” emphasized the critical importance of mattresses in meeting the needs of foster children. “Mattresses are the number one necessity for these children,” said Montgomery.

“For many of them, it may be the first time they experience sleeping on a real mattress instead of the floor.”

Mindy Delery, representing Every Child, echoed Montgomery’s sentiments, highlighting the profound impact that a comfortable mattress can have on a child’s well-being. “Sometimes, receiving a mattress from organizations like Mattress World Northwest can make all the difference,” said Delery. “It’s often the very first time a child has the opportunity to sleep on a real mattress, and it provides them with a sense of comfort and stability during a challenging time.”

The donation of 25 mattresses from Mattress World Northwest and Serta/Simmons Bedding Group will contribute significantly to “Every Child’s” mission of supporting foster families and ensuring that every child has a safe and comfortable place to rest.
